HM-Mitsubishi has launched the new Outlander 2010 in India priced at Rs19.95 lakh, Rs70,000 higher than its older model.

The new model is BS IV compliant.

It sold only 2,200 units in the last fiscal and its current sales volume is approximately 35-40 units a month. The company plans to sell 10,000 units in India by 2011-12.

Hindustan Motors' executive vice-president and business head Vijay Kumar said in Chennai that following the launch of the Outlander, its next plan was to launch a new Pajero that would hit the market by the end of this fiscal.

HM-Mitsubishi currently sells sedans Lancer and Cedia and the Pajero and Montero SUVs in the country through 40 dealerships across India.

Kumar said, ''With its stylish looks, great performance, plush interiors, innovative features and above all value for money price, I am sure the all new Outlander will be as successful in the Indian market as it is worldwide for Mitsubishi.''
