Nokia and Renault offer the latest for Brazilian auto buyers

Finland: Renault Brazil, a unit of the French car maker Renault SA and Nokia Brazil will co-brand to offer technology-savvy Brazilians a limited edition car that combines modern design with the most advanced mobile technology available today.

This is the second partnership between Nokia and Renault after Nokia co-branded a set of Renault Twingo cars to provide its navigation system and hands-free equipment in 2007. Nokia had also joined forces with Italian car company Ferrari to produce a limited edition of 60 luxury Ferrari phones, priced at about €18,000 (Rs1,131,120).

The special edition Sandero Nokia, to be introduced in Brazil would be equipped with Nokia's complete mobility solution, including device, services and software and car add-ons. Features such as the flagship multimedia computer, the Nokia N95, with an integrated Global Positioning System (GPS), pre-loaded Nokia Maps service, Bluetooth connection and a wide range of media solutions as well as music player, large screen and high-end camera will equip the 1000 limited edition cars, the company said.

The audio streaming function will enable drivers to listen to music stored on the Nokia N95 through thre car's speakers via a wireless connection. The pre-loaded Nokia Maps service will provide access to maps of the main cities in Brazil that are already included in the memory; and the Bluetooth System  will allows drivers to listen to calls through the vehicle's audio system through a  microphone inserted into the upper part of Sandero Nokia's windshield.

Another interesting feature included is the Nokia LD-3W GPS module, which is integrated with the Nokia CK-20W, an automobile accessories kit.
 
According to Renault, Sandero Nokia, the first compact vehicle in the Brazilian market to come factory-equipped with GPS will be priced at €17,650. The new car is created from the most inclusive version of Sandero's family of automobiles, Privilège 1.6 16V Hi-Flex

Sandero Nokia will  appeal to the younger generation who want the industry-leading mobile technology of Nokia combined with the quality of a Renault Sandero, stated Rodrigo Link, manager, enhancements sales, Nokia Brazil.

Nokia, is the world's leading producer of mobile devices that include phones equipped with music, navigation, video, television, imaging, games, business mobility and more. The Finnish company  also offers consumer internet services, as well as enterprise solutions and software, which is a key area of focus for the company. The company provides equipment, solutions and services for communications networks through Nokia Siemens Networks.
