Ken Okuyama Design showcases 2 cars at the Geneva Motor Show

Geneva: Ken Okuyama Design, noted industrial design studio and coachbuilder has introduced the K.O 7 roadster and the K.O 8 coupe, 2 limited edition cars at 2008 Geneva Motor Show on 4 March.
The K.O 7 and the K.O 8 are made of lightweight carbon-fibre and aluminium. Both cars are powered by a 200cc 4 cylinder engine with a maximum power of 237-hp, Ken Okuyama CEO of the company stated.
Okuyama added that the company plans to launch an electric variant in the future. In collaboration with MODI, the company plans to produce 99 units per year with unique body style and specifications for each year
Ken Okuyama Design provides research & development services in automotive and industrial products to worldwide customers. The design studio also manufactures and markets several products under its own brands. The company releases new cars every year in a limited volume. K.O 7 and K.O 8 are the first of series of exclusive cars to be produced every year.
Ken Okuyama had earlier worked in General Motors, Porsche and Pininfarina before setting up his own firm which deals in industrial-design shop, creating custom eyewear and modern furnitures. He was best known at Pininfarina for spearheading designs of the Ferrari Enzo and the Maserati Quattroporte.
MODI is a Japanese company that builds show cars for the Japanese carmakers.
