Global automakers are currently heading for Geneva to participate in the 78th International Geneva Motor Show (Salon International de l'Auto) from 6 March to 16 March 2008. Exhibitors will hold press conferences and briefings for the media from 3 March to 5 March and the show will be open to public on 6 March.

The auto show is a major international auto show, annually held in March, at Palexpo, a giant convention centre located next to the International Airport. The show is organised by the Organisation Internationale des Constructeurs d'Automobiles,

The 2008 event will feature more than 260 exhibitors, spread across an exhibiting area of approximately 82,000 square metres, filling the 7 halls at Palexpo, located under one roof and is easily accessible by train, flight and motorway connections.

The Geneva Auto Show, which began in 1905, has more than 100 years of history. The show has featured almost all motor combustion models, ranging from benzene to steam, with many exotic and super cars stealing the spotlights throughout the 20th century.
