Airlines offering deep festive discounts on domestic routes

Ahead of the festive season, virtually all airlines have announced deep discounts on domestic routes. Reports suggest that air fares have dropped almost 40-50 per cent, with a regular ticket from Delhi to Mumbai going for as little as Rs2,000 from a peak of around Rs8,000.

Vistara
Full-service carrier Vistara on Tuesday announced festival sale offering customers fares starting at Rs1,149 for economy class travel and Rs2,099 for premium economy.

The Vistara Diwali offer bookings are open from 11 October to 13 October for travel between 26 October 2017 and 24 March 2018, the Tata-Singapore Airlines joint venture said.

''Vistara's Diwali sale gives passengers an opportunity to fly to some of India's favourite holiday destinations such as Goa, Port Blair, Leh (Ladakh), Jammu, Srinagar, Kochi, Guwahati, Amritsar, Bhubaneswar, as well as metro cities such as Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai and Bengaluru, at amazing all-in fares,'' the airline said.

IndiGo
IndiGo on Wednesday announced a three-day Diwali sale from 11-13 October, offering all-inclusive tickets starting at Rs1,141 on select flights on its domestic network. The offer is for travel between 26 October 2017 and 15 April 2018. Reservations made under this scheme are non-refundable, IndiGo said.

IndiGo is offering the low fares on routes including Chennai-Bengaluru, Jammu-Srinagar, Delhi-Jaipur, Agartala-Guwahati, Coimbatore-Chennai, Bagdora-Guwahati, Goa-Bengaluru, and Visakhapatnam-Hyderabad. The lowest fares start at Rs1,120 from Chennai to Bengaluru.

SpiceJet

SpiceJet announced its 'Cracking Diwali' offer which gives 50 per cent off on hotel bookings and 60 per cent cash back on making payments for hotels with HDFC bank credit cards.  The offer is valid till Diwali – 19 October.

AirAsia
Termed as 'Year-End Grand Sale', AirAsia is offering all-inclusive fares starting at Rs1,299 on select domestic routes for travel between 2 October 2017 and 31 March 2018. As per the AirAsia website, bookings under the year-end sale will end on 15 October. Deals under the sale include Bhubaneswar-Kolkata (starting at Rs1,299), Ranchi-Kolkata (Rs1,799), Kochi-Bengaluru (Rs1,399) and Bagdogra-Kolkata (Rs1,999).

As usual, seats on offer under all these plans are limited and on a first come first served basis.'
