Jet Air joins fare war, but keeps its window small

Jet Airways is the latest entrant to the new round of air fare wars largely triggered by AirAsia India, the new kid on the block.

The airline today announced special fares for domestic flyers travelling in economy class, which start at Rs500 excluding various taxes. Passengers can avail of substantial discounts across all destinations on the airlines' domestic network.

The special fare offer will be not be valid for indirect or connecting flights and for group bookings.

The special fare window will be open for barely two days however; on 3 and 4 September; for travel only from 16 January 2015 onward.
