Invision Air launches business aviation operations in India
28 Feb 2012
Invision Air today announced the launch of India's first entry-level business jet service using a fleet of light jets from Embraer. Invision hopes to bridge a gap created by the increasing migration of scheduled airlines to the low-cost business model.
While India's high growth story has created a market segment with increasing disposable incomes and a need to travel more efficiently within India, the decrease in the number of business class seats has left a gap in the high-end market segment that has to be addressed.
Invision Air hopes to capture this opportunity, Vinit Phatak and Jayant Nadkarni, promoters said after the formal launch of the airline.
''By presenting a service which costs only between 2 to 4 times last minute business class fares, Invision Air provides all the advantages of business aviation - privacy, flexibility, efficiency, luxury, and finally creating time for its users,'' the airline said in a release.
Invision Air plans to launch structured products like Spot Charters, Jet Card Memberships, and Aircraft Owner Member Programmes over the next few weeks.
Invision Air has a fleet of Embraer Phenom 100 (4 passengers) and Phenom 300 (8 passengers) light business jets.
