Mumbai: Kingfisher Airlines is likely to join OneWorld Alliance as a participating member sometime early in 2012. OneWorld is a global airline alliance. The move, market experts say, is likely to boost the debt-ridden carrier's revenues by anywhere between 10-15%.

Kingfisher is struggling to cut down debts of Rs6,007 crore accumulated until April 2011.

According to OneWorld executives Kingfisher Airlines was making good progress in its implementation programme and the alliance was looking forward to taking them on board sometime early in 2012.

They also confirmed that they were not looking to induct any other Indian airline as partners.

In August this year, Star Alliance rejected Air India's membership.

New York-based Oneworld Alliance has 12 members, of which the prominent ones are British Airways, American Airlines, Cathay Pacific and Royal Jordanian Airways. The alliance, jointly, connects 750 destinations in 150 countries with passengers having access to 550 airport lounges.
