Mumbai: El Al Israel Airlines, flag carrier and largest airline of Israel, will introduce a fourth weekly Mumbai-Tel Aviv flight from October. The airline is likely to operate the Boeing 767ER (extended range) aircraft on the route, dwhich will depart Mumbai on Sunday mornings.

The Boeing-767ER aircraft to be fielded on the India route will be equipped with digital servers that will enable improved viewing quality, and also allow the presentation of richer content, as part of the in-flight entertainment systems, the airline said.

El Al is making large investments towards renewing, and upgrading, its equipment and infrastructure, the airline said. This programme includes the acquisition of new aircraft, refurbishment of business class seats, the enhancement of its frequent flyer programmes, and the launching of a new express track service that will allow passengers to check in from the comfort of their homes.

The airline is also re-designing and upgrading it's service areas, as well as its prestigious King David lounges around the world's airports. Master chefs from Israel, as well as from Mumbai's Taj SATS Air Catering Ltd have been brought in to create meals that suit the Indian and Israeli palate, the airline said.
