Mumbai: Global Vectra Helicorp Ltd (GVHL), India's largest oil and gas offshore air logistics helicopter company have appointed Allan Brown, ex-commercial director, international operations, Bristow Helicopters Ltd, as its chief executive officer.
Brown will be based in Mumbai where GVHL has its head office and will report directly to the chairman of the board, Lt. Gen. (retd) SJS Saighal.
Allan Brown has more than four decades of experience, and has worked at almost all levels, of the aviation industry. He began his career as an aircraft engineer in 1964. He joined Bristow Helicopters as an avionics design engineer in 1978, finally retiring from company service as commercial director responsible for all international operations. Bristow Helicopters Ltd is an offshore air logistics helicopter major in the international arena.
In his long career with Bristow he was assigned key positions in the Group associated with major technical and commercial projects. In 1994 he was appointed director, commercial and technical services, and also, director, FB Heliservices Ltd, of which he was founder director.
According to the company, Brown has a proven track record of establishing and managing multiple operations across varied geographies. He would be heading Global Vectra Helicorp Limited in an endeavor to boost its functionality and operations.
