Now take selfies with faraway friends

Selfie-lovers would no longer have to have their friends around for a photo session, thanks to a new app that made it possible to take joint selfies regardless where they are located.

The new app 'Picpal' had been developed by a Texas-based company MyndBee, co-founded by an Indian-American Mahesh Rajagopalan, which has been launched officially on iOS and Android devices.

The app now made it possible to bring together everyone at the same time at different locations to form a selfie collage.

The app allowed a user to send a request to up to three friends at a time who could be included in the selfie. Users simply invited friends whom they want to include in their selfies and once invited, they had 15 minutes to respond to the request by sending their own selfies to the person who invited them.

The selfies could be retaken or edited using the in-built tools and text could also be added.

''Picpal combines social media, real-time collages, and the ever important selfie into one App,'' Myndbee said.

Each collage is jointly created with one's friends, and could be shared within the app or on Facebook, Instagram, or WhatsApp.

The app can be downloaded for free on iOS and Android devices using App Store and Play Store respectively.
