Dentsu Marcom has announced five senior level management changes. Titus Upputuru, who had joined Dentsu as executive creative director in April, has been promoted to national creative director while Chandana Agarwal, previously vice president, has been promoted to senior vice president of the agency. In an intra-group move, Ranjit Kumar Gupta has been brought in from Dentsu Creative Impact as senior vice president, Dentsu Marcom. Also, Shaleen Sharma has been appointed as vice president, strategic planning and Sunita Prakash has joined as vice president, account management. All the personnel will report in to Hiroshi Omata, chief operating officer, Dentsu Marcom. ''Upputuru, Agarwal, Gupta, Sharma and Prakash bring on board great depth and diversity of talent, knowledge and experience. Having them lead our creative, planning and service outcomes makes me very buoyant about our performance in India," said Omata. Upputuru first joined Dentsu Marcom in early 2009. After a one-year stint, he then moved to Saatchi & Saatchi, there after returning to Dentsu in early 2011. In his 15-year career, Upputuru has worked with Trikaya Grey (now Grey Worldwide), TBWA Anthem (now TBWA India), Delhi based Ushak Kaal and Ogilvy & Mather India. ''Globally, Dentsu comes up with really innovative, new-age ideas and sweeps most of the shows. I look forward to bringing in and building that unique creative culture within India,'' said Upputuru. Agarwal leads the Honda cars and two-wheelers businesses at Dentsu Marcom. An MBA in marketing from T.A. Pai Management Institute, Manipal, Agarwal started her career in advertising with FCB Ulka in Bangalore. She has worked with Rediffusion Y&R, Mumbai, JWT, Delhi and McCann Erickson, Delhi. Gupta joined Dentsu Creative Impact in 2008 as vice president and was promoted to senior vice president in 2010. He started his advertising career at Clarion, Kolkata where he worked on ITC's Capstan cigarettes. He later worked at Lintas, HTA and Rediffusion before moving to Bangalore as business head of SSC&B Lintas, Bangalore in 2005. ''My new role at Dentsu Marcom, in addition to ensuring top-of-the-line service deliveries to clients, is to grow the agency's footprint in India. This is something I look forward to greatly,'' said Gupta. Sharma joins Dentsu Marcom from RK Swamy BBDO, Delhi where he led strategic planning and business consultancy at The Hansa Group. With over 13 years experience, Sharma has worked with in various capacities in strategic planning with Mindshare, JWT and the Boston Consulting Group among others. He is a graduate in genetics and biochemistry from Punjab University and has a Masters degree in brand management and marketing research from MICA. Prakash joins Dentsu Marcom from Solutions Digitas (a Publicis Group Company) where she was VP on FMCG, IT and Insurance verticals for two years. Previously, she was with Hakuhodo Percept for eight years, first as branch director, Bangalore and then business director, Delhi. With 17 years of experience of which 15 have been in mainline advertising, Sharma has worked across agencies like Contract and Interact Vision.
