GHCL appoints Aloke Banerjee CEO, Rosebys Interiors India Ltd

Aloke Banerjee Mumbai: The UK's largest specialist textiles and home furnishings retail chain, Rosebys, acquired by GHCL in 2006, today announced the appointment of Aloke Banerjee as the CEO of its Indian operations.

Rosebys' retail chain has over 320 stores. Banerjee will be responsible for operations for expanding the chain and will be based at the corporate office in Noida, UP and will report to Nikhil Sen, director on Rosebys's board.

Banerjee comes to Rosebys with over 15 years of experience. In his earlier assignment he was working as the CEO for SKumar's Nationwide Limited, where he was instrumental in setting up the organization structure and working on international acquisitions.

He has also worked with Tata Tea, Britannia and Bombay Dyeing manufacturing.

 "With the exponential growth of the Indian retail industry, GHCL (is) signing contracts with several franchisees to make Rosebys stores approachable and provide in store experience to our customers," said Sanjay Dalmia, managing director, GHCL, announcing the new appointment.
