French presidential honour for Ashwini Kakkar
Mumbai: France has honoured the vice-chairman of Mercury Travels, and also chairman of a Bangalore-based travel portal VIA, Ashwini Kakkar, with the `Orde national du Merite.'

The Ambassador of France, Dominique Girard, presented the award to Ashwini Kakkar, in the name of the President of the French Republic, a press release said.

Kakkar, a graduate of INSEAD and a Francophile, has devoted around 25 years in working with the French political, economic and social institutions, the release said.

He has held key positions at Maison de la France (French Tourism Office), the Indo-French Technical Association, INSEAD's International Council, and also as president of the Bombay Chamber of Commerce and Industry, chairman of the World Travel and Tourism Council and president of the Travel Agents Association of India.

S Krishnamurthy new CEO of TTK Healthcare
Bangalore: S Krishnamurthy is the new CEO of TTK Healthcare Services, the company said.

The third-party health insurance administrator is based in Bangalore and is a joint venture between the TTK group and Swiss Re.

Krishnamurthy, a former BIS joint director, takes over from Girish Rao, who moves as GM of the new advisory company, Swiss Re Healthcare Services Pvt Ltd, also based in Bangalore.
