Firdose Vandrevala resigns from Motorola
Mumbai:
Firdose Vandrevala, corporate vice president and India chairman of Motorola has resigned from the company with effect from July 1, to pursue other interests.

The company has appointed Amit Sharma, vice president-strategy (Asia Pacific) as the interim chairman.

Simon Leung, president (Asia Pacific), Motorola Inc, said: "Firdose has contributed to our strategy, growth, and governance. I commend Firdose for his contribution and wish him success in his new career."

Graham Ford rejects Indian coaching offer
Mumbai:
Graham Ford, the cricket director of English county Kent, who had been

offered the job of coaching Team Indian by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), has decided to stay with Kent County Cricket Club for 'personal reasons.'

Ford was quoted as saying: "I have had a chance to reflect on the offer made by BCCI and their urgency to fill the vacant position. After careful consideration, I have decided to continue my work here at Kent.'

Graham Johnson, Kent's cricket chairman said: "I would like to say how much we appreciate the way Graham has handled the last few days. He has made a significant contribution to our playing performance during his time with us, as well as the system to produce local cricket talent in Kent."

New CMD for Oriental Bank
New Delhi:
Alok Kumar Mishra has been appointed as the new chairman and managing director Oriental Bank of Commerce (OBC). Mishra assumed charge with effect from June 4, the OBC informed the National Stock Exchange in a recent filing. Prior to his appointment, Mishra was executive director of Canara Bank.
