ING
Vysya appoints new wholesale banking head
Chennai: ING Vysya Bank has appointed Janak Desai
as country head - wholesale banking in India with effect
from May 12.
Desai
was earlier the country head - financial markets, India
at the bank, He will now be responsible for the overall
wholesale banking platform including corporate and investment
banking, emerging corporates, wholesale banking products,
banks and financial institutions, and the financial markets
business.

Trehan
leaves Fortis, takes 50 doctors with him
New Delhi: Naresh Trehan has resigned from Escorts
Heart Institute and Research Centre (EHIRC) and joined
the Apollo Group. At least 50 doctors are among the 100
staffers who are understood to have quit Fortis to join
rival Apollo Group in a sign of solidarity with Trehan.
Escorts
has a strength of 217 doctors.
However,
a Fortis spokesman said 12 doctors and as many paramedic
staff have quit the Escorts Heart Institute.
Among
the doctors who resigned are Yatin Malik and Kasliwal.
Sources said more doctors, technicians, nurses and physiotherapist
will be resigning from Escorts to join Trehan.
Trehan
was sacked as executive director of the hospital by Fortis
Healthcare on May 18. The week-long tussle between Shivender
Mohan Singh, managing director of Fortis Healthcare which
has majority stake in Escorts and Trehan, ended on May
26 when both agreed for an out-of-court settlement.

PepsiCo
India sends two executives on secondment
New Delhi: PepsiCo India has sent two of its high
performers on a global assignment. PepsiCo India's executive
vice-president (marketing) Vipul Prakash, has been sent
to New York on a global posting starting July while Saurabh
Gupta, general manager (operations central India)
has moved to Bangkok.
Prakash,
who is a graduate of IIM-A has been with PepisCo India
for more than eight years, would now be flavours director,
PepsiCo International.
He
will also double up as a team member for PepsiCo's digital
marketing arm there. Saurabh Gupta has been appointed
as director, GTM systems and IT sales, Asia Region.
