Dabur
appoints Peter Baker as head of H&B stores
New Delhi: FMCG major Dabur India has appointed Peter
Gerard Baker as the chief executive officer for its newly-formed
retail subsidiary H&B Stores.
Baker
was earlier the group head of retail of Lee Cooper group
and was responsible for over 450 stores around the world.
He will look after the new retail initiatives of Dabur
India, including establishment of the new subsidiary and
the stores in the country, Dabur said in a release here.
Dabur
India plans to invest Rs140 crore by 2010 to establish
its presence in the retail market in India with a chain
of stores on the Health & Beauty format and is planning
to set up 350 retail stores across India in the next five
years and would further expand it to over 1,000 stores
by the 10th year of operations.

Tata
Tele CEO Darryl Green resigns
New Delhi: Darryl Green, chief executive officer of
Tata Teleservices has resigned from the company after
a two-year stint.
Company sources said Green had been talking to the management
about his exit for quite some time and added that the
parting was amicable.
Prior
to joining Tata Tele, Green was heading Vodafone's Japan
operations.
Green
joined CDMA operator Tata Teleservices, in June 2005 and
was the only expatriate CEO in the Indian telecom industry.
He held the post even before the government allowed foreign
executives to head Indian telecom companies in March this
year.
