Prudential ICICI MF extends subscription period of Services Industries Fund
Mumbai:
Prudential ICICI Mutual Fund has extended the New Fund Offer (NFO) period of its scheme, the Prudential ICICI Services Industries Fund, till 18 November 2005, owing to the heavy rainfall in the southern region of India.

The New Fund Offer for the scheme began on 13 October 2005 and was due for closure on 11 November 2005.

Prudential ICICI Services Industries Fund is an open-ended equity scheme that seeks to generate capital appreciation and income distribution for unit holders by investing in companies in the service sector.

Bill for securitisation of loans to be introduced in Parliament
New Delhi: The Cabinet Committee has approved the introduction of a Bill in the next session of the Parliament to amend the Securities Contract (Regulation) Act, 1956.

The bill would enable loans to be securitised and traded, making securitised debt a tradeable instrument. The proposed amendments to the Act will include securitised debt under the definition of 'securities' and provide a legal framework for trading of securitised debt.
