Hema Ravichander quits Infosys for the second time
Bangalore: Ms Hema Ravichander, the global head of the human resources at software major Infosys Technologies Ltd, has quit.

Infosys officials have confirmed that Ms Hema Ravichander, Group Head and Senior Vice-President, has resigned. This was her second stint with Infosys.

An alumnus of Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad, Ms Ravichander was responsible for the overall aspects of human resources development at Infosys and for the Infosys group companies across the globe.

Sanjiv Goenka joins Eveready board
Kolkata: Eveready Industries has announced that Sanjiv Goenka, Vice-Chairman of RPG Enterprises, has joined the board of Eveready Industries India Ltd as an independent director with effect from April 28.

Goenka, 44 years, is the eleventh member of the board, which has been recently reconstituted after the de-merger of its tea business.
B.K. Khaitan continues to be Non-executive Chairman of the company. Deepka Khaitan is the Vice-Chairman and Managing Director of Eveready Industries.

Apart from Goenka, there are three other non-executive independent directors, namely P.K. Kaul and Bhaskar Mitter. Dewan Arun Nanda of Rediffusion is also present on the board as a non-executive director.

Raghu Pillai quits RPG Retail
Chennai: Raghu Pillai, President, Retail, RPG Enterprises, has put in his papers after a 22-year stint with the group in various capacities.

Pillai's decision to quit comes close on the heels of the RPG group and Dairy Farm International (DFI), which jointly own the FoodWorld chain of supermarkets and the beauty and wellness chain Health & Glow, deciding to part ways.

Pillai has been with FoodWorld since it started as a division of Spencer & Co, a part of the RPG group, in May 1996 and opened its first supermarket in Chennai.

Along with Pillai, Rahul Balachandra, who headed the Health & Glow operations, has also quit and will join Arvind Retail. This chain will be taken over by DFI as per the deal between the two groups.

Satluj appoints director
New Delhi: M.S. Sharma has been appointed Director (Finance) of the State-owned Satluj Jal Vidyut Nigam Ltd. He has been working as the company's General Manager (F&A) since June 2003.
