FIIs net purchasers in equities at Rs83.9 crore
Mumbai: Foreign Institutional Investors (FIIs) recorded net purchases of Rs83.9 crore ($19.2 million) in equities for the trading week ended April 15 while mutual funds (MFs) were net purchasers at Rs104.74 crore, according to the data available with the Securities and Exchange Board of India (Sebi) here.

The foreign funds were also net sellers at Rs474.7 crore ($108.7 million) in the debt market for the period under review. The mutual funds were net purchasers in the debt market at Rs847.38 crore.

Overseas funds were net buyers in equities on April 15 at 176.40 crore ($40.40 mn).
FIIs registered a net outflow of Rs500 crore ($114.50 mn) in the debt market on April 15.

The Stock Exchange, Mumbai, (BSE) during the week under review, saw the sensex losing 231.20 points to close at 6,248.34 points.
