DRDL scientist Bhattarcharjee honoured by ASI
Hyderabad: R.N. Bhattacharjee, Senior Scientist at the Defence Research and Development Laboratory (DRDL), has been honoured for his contribution to Rockets and related technologies (Rocketry) for the year 2003 by the Astronautical Society of India. The honour also carries a cash prize of Rs25,000 along with it.

The DRDL scientist has carried out research in the areas of systems design, modeling, guidance and control systems for Akash, Nag and Trishul missiles, according to a statement from DRDL.

Mirchandani is new chief for CII Karnataka
Bangalore: Daljit Mirchandani, Chairman and President of Ingersoll-Rand (India), was elected as the Chairman of the Confederation of Indian Industries/ CII (Karnataka) at the first meeting of the Karnataka State Council 2005-06 on Saturday.
Mirchandani takes over the mantle from K. K. Swamy, Deputy Managing Director, Toyota Kirloskar Motors Ltd. S. Gopalakrishnan, Deputy Managing Director and Chief Operating Officer, Infosys Technologies, was elected as the Vice-Chairman of the State unit of CII.
