Korean group to invest in Kerala
Kochi:
Koreas Sigma Group of companies and the Kerala Industrial Infrastructure Development Corporation (Kinfra) signed a memorandum of understanding for investment in the industrial parks being promoted by Kinfra.

Group CEO Park Chang Dong, who is also Secretary-General of the small industries association in Korea had visited the park sites in Wayanad, Kochi and Kozhikode.

The Group was considering investing in Kerala as the labour cost in Korea was high.

The Sigma Group would have a minimum investment of $2 million to start with. It would part-finance the investment of the small units and if the units succeeded it would have to give the Sigma Group 25 per cent share in the company or else the Group would take over the unit.
