CBI to investigate UTI investments
Mumbai—
The Central Bureau of Investigation CBI is launching a probe into UTI’s investments in shares and non-convertible debentures issued by 21 companies, which includes listed, unlisted and even closed down companies.

The stocks include those of Sun Infoway, Soundcraft Industries, JK Industries, Mobile Telecom, Shonkh Technologies, Padmini Polymers, Sriven Multitech, Adani Exports, ITIL, Hygrade Pellets, Malvika Steel, Elbee Services. Unlisted companies are Numero Uno, Baron International Meta Strips and Ambika Agarbatti, delisted firm Palace High Hotel and closed down company Emtek.
