SmithKline Beecham appoints three
directors
Mumbai: FMCG
multinational, SmithKline Beecham Consumer Healthcare today announced the induction of
three Horlicks nominees on its board effective from Wednesday.
The newly inducted directors are George Quesnelle, Colin Handcock and Venkataraman
Thyagrajan.
The aforesaid appointments were in
addition to that of S J Scarff, the managing director who has been appointed as the
chairman of the board.

ACC managing director reappointed
Mumbai: The board of
directors of cement major, ACC, unanimously re-appointed Mr. T M M Nambiar as managing
director of the company till May 31, 2002.
Two other executive directors, A K Chatterjee and M L Narula, were also re-appointed for
two year terms.

Goodlass
Nerolac MD joins Raymond
Mumbai: TR Venkatesh, the managing
director of Goodlass Nerolac, the second largest paints company in the country, is joining
Raymond Apparel as its president.
He will replace S Padmanabhan,
executive director at Raymond, who was in charge of the group's apparel business and is
leaving to joint the TVS group to head its new infotech initiative.

RPG
reorgnises top management
Mumbai: The RPG group has made some
internal regrouping of its top management. According to the new changes, K K Sharma, head
of the pharma division, will succeed Sharad Kulkarni as president and chief executive
officer (CEO) of the chemical, engineering and specialty business. Sharma will continue to
hold charge of Harrisons Malayalam, which deals with the production of natural rubber and
tea, in his capacity as member of the board.
Arvind Agarwal, group director, human
resources, will be in charge of the group's corporate quality council, the post earlier
held by Mr. Kulkarni.
Mr. Kulkarni who served the RPG group for
18 years has retired and will continue to be an advisor to the group.
