Subbaiah resigns from Centurion Bank Mumbai: Citing personal reasons, Mr. M J Subbaiah, former chief general manager of ICICI who took over as managing director of the bank in July last year, has resigned with effect from the end of this month.

The bank’s country head (corporate credit) Mr. F J D'Costa and chief financial officer Mr. V P Sukumar have taken over charge as joint managing directors until a full time managing director is appointed.

While the bank’s promoter, Mr. Dev Ahuja, has been trying to find buyers for the bank, several prospects have shied away from the deal in view of the many holes found in Centurion’s balance sheet.
