Mr. Abhijit Sanyal is new COO at UDV India
Bangalore: The international liquor major United Distillers and Vintners (UDV) appointed Mr. Abhijit Sanyal as its chief operating officer in India. Mr. Sanyal will oversee marketing, sales & HR at UDV. UDV is the world's largest spirits and alcohol beverage company and has been operating in India since 1994.

Mr. Talwar to head BNP Paribas broking operations
Mumbai: BNP Paribas Securities has appointed Mr. Pankaj Talwar as head of its broking operations. Mr. Talwar was earlier with the venture capital firm Connect Capital as director, investments.

Mr. Talwar has also worked with Morgan Stanley Dean Witter for four years in London and was responsible for starting the Indian equity sales and trading desk. He also worked with W I Carr in London, from 1994-1996, where he was responsible for building, identifying and initiating specialist Indian equity sales.

Mr. Stuart Purdy to head Dabur-CGU insurance foray
Mumbai: Mr. Stuart Purdy has been appointed as the chief executive designate for the life insurance joint venture between Dabur and CGU. The joint venture is expected to file an application with the IRDA shortly.
