Mr. Farrokh Kavarana named Tata AIG Life chairman
Mumbai: Mr. Farrokh Kavarana been appointed as chairman of Tata AIG Life Insurance Company, while Mr. George Oomenn has been appointed managing director of the company. Tata AIG received its licence on Monday from the Insurance Regulatory & Development Authority (IRDA).

The Tata Group is holding 74 per cent of the equity and a subsidiary of American International Group, 26 per cent, with an initial capital of Rs 125 crore. AIG is a US-based company, which has tied up with Tata's for both general as well as life insurance.
