Lalit Sawhney, HLL IT chief join HFCL arm
Mumbai: Hindustan Lever Ltd. (HLL) has lost its chief of Information Technology, Mr. Lalit Sawhney to Himachal Futuristic Communication Ltd-promoted venture Excelnet Commerce.

Mr. Lalit Sawhney will be joining join Excelnet Commerce Ltd. as its chief operating officer after serving HLL for 18 years.

Mr Sawhney played a key role in developing HLL's strategies for electronic commerce, customer connectivity, e-tailing, knowledge management, setting up help desks and customer call centres.

The loss of Sawhney is the latest in the top management desertions that has been plaguing HLL. It recently lost Adhiraj Sarin, MD, Hind Lever Chemicals, to Bombay Dyeing & Manufacturing Company. Mr Sarin had been associated with the Hindustan Lever group for over 25 years, before he quit. Earlier, Mr Debu Bhattacharya moved to a Birla Group company and Mr. R Gopalkrishnan, who joined the Tata Sons board as executive director.
