Ramesh Subrahmanian may be
next Hoechst Marion MD
Mumbai: Mr. Ramesh Subrahmanian, who
was till recently the executive director finance of Hoechst Marion Roussel (HMR),
is tipped to take charge as managing director of towards the end of 2000. He will be
taking over from long-serving managing director, Mr. D. Bhadury, who is being elevated to
the post of vice chairman of the company. Company officials refused to comment on the
development.
This is the second major
top-level reshuffle at HMR's Indian operations, since the German multinational announced a
global merger with French transnational, Rhone-Poulenc to form Aventis.
Earlier HMR executive
director (technical) Mr. Sanat Chattopadhyay was moved as head of Hoechst's Kansas city
operations in the US, reporting to the head of the companys American operations.
