Matsushita India undergoes top-level
changes
New Delhi: The Indian subsidiaries of the Japanese giant, the $69-billion
Matsushita group, Matsushita TV & Audio and National Panasonic India, have made
top-level changes.
Mr Kazuo Ogishima will take over as the managing director of the two companies in India
from Mr Y Ozasa, who will now occupy a more strategic posting as the head of the overseas
operations and exports of TV network & systems division at AVC. His new designation is
GM, international sales and overseas promotion department, at the parent company. He would
continue to oversee the Indian operations from Tokyo.
AVC or Audio visuals Computer Company oversees the development of audio visual products of
Matsushita worldwide.
The change is said to be normal, with Mr Ozasa having successfully completed his four-year
tenure and both consolidated Matsushitas operations in the country and implemented
the groups cluster management program in the country.

Dotcom claims yet another top gun,
Arvind Nair leaves Amtrex
Ahmedabad: Mr. Arvind Nair, the chief executive officer of the Ahmedabad-based
Amtrex Hitachi Limited, has put in his papers after eight years at the helm. He is said to
be joining as president of a new dotcom venture, being promoted by the Aptech group, with
interests in Internet service provider and in establishing horizontal portals.
In the eight years that Mr Nair has been in Ahmedabad, he has seen the company grow from a
turnover of Rs 8 crore to Rs 185 crore in the current year. Though the company had skipped
paying the dividend last year, this year it has paid a 10 per cent dividend.
At Amtrex Hitachi, the co-promoter and
managing director, Mr. Naishad Parikh, will be shouldering the responsibility of
operations henceforth alongwith joint managing director from Hitachi, Mr Y Yabe.
