New CEO for DSQ Software
Chennai:
Mr. Pawan Kumar, till recently the president of IBM Global Services, has been appointed president and chief executive officer, DSQ Software Ltd. He will take over Mr. Dinesh Dalmia, who, in keeping with the principles of corporate governance, announced his decision to step down from the top job recently. Mr. Dalmia will, however, continue to give strategic direction to the company as vice chairman DSQ Software.

Mr. Kumar holds a bachelor and masters degree from IIT, Kanpur. He has been credited with setting up IBM Global Services in 1996. Prior to this assignment, he had spent 19 years with Tata Consultancy Services and over three years with Fujitsu ICIM.

Aventis CropScience vice-chairman joins Hikal Chemicals board
Mumbai:
The vice-chairman and former managing director of Aventis CropScience India, Mr. K.K. Unni, has joined the board of Hikal Chemicals as a non-executive director. Mr. Unni brings with him around 36 years of experience in the agrochemicals industry.

The latest appointment is in line with Hikal's plans to induct professionals with wide-ranging experience on its board.

The Mumbai-based Hikal Chemicals has been in the news recently when it acquired a Novartis' facility and has been associated with AgrEvo as a key supplier of certain intermediates.
