Indian Americans Sidhu, Sawhney and
Khosla -- rank among top 25 e-business leaders
New York: In a recent listing of the top 25 e-business leaders chosen by Business
Week magazine, three Indian Americans -- Sanjiv Sidhu, CEO of i2 Technologies, Vinod
Khosla, partner at Kleiner Perkins Caulfield and Byers venture capital firm, and
Mohanbir Sawhney, Northwestern University business professor and cutting-edge e-business
thinker are present.
These Americans of Indian origin, join a celebrity list
that includes the likes of Jeff Bezos of Amazon.com , Meg Whitman of eBay, and Steve Case
of America Online.

Titans Tanishq gets new
chief
Bangalore: Consequent to the resignation of its current incumbent, Titan Industries
appointed Mr. Jacob Kurian as the new Chief Operating Officer (COO) of its jewellery
division, Tanishq. As COO, Mr. Kurian will be totally responsible for the company's
jewellery business unit activities, including manufacturing, marketing and retailing.
Mr. Kurian joined Tata Administrative Service in 1983.
He was with Tata Unisys as Country Manager for the US prior to joining Titan Industries in
1993. He has held several important positions in Titan, the latest being that of
Vice-President (Marketing) of the watch division.
Mr. Kurian assumes charge as Tanishq chief at an important
stage in the growth of this relatively new Tata venture. Last year, the jewellery division
doubled its sales to Rs. 150 crores and plans a 50 per cent growth this fiscal.
