Nohria may step down as Crompton Greaves chief
Mumbai: Coming close on the heels of a restructuring plan for the Thapar group, it is understood that Mr. K. K. Nohria, longtime chairman and managing director of flagship company, Crompton Greaves Limited, will step down from this position. The move on part of Mr. Nohria to step down was, apparently, known within the group for the last one year, but he had decided to continue as chairman of the company for some time.

It is also understood that a few other directors would also resign alongwith Mr. Nohria.

K. R. Girish jumps ship from KPMG to Ambit
Bangalore: Ambit Corporate Finance Pvt Limited, a leading finance company floated by well known finance professional, Ashok Wadhwa, has snared one of the country's best taxation brain.

K. R. Girish, who set up the international taxation practice for KPMG, and is considered to be one of the best brains in the arena of taxation in the country, will leave the multinational consulting firm and join Ambit as the head of Ambit's south India operations.
