Jack Welch gets $93 million
Fairfield, Connecticut: Jack Welch, chairman and chief executive of
General Electric received a whopping $ 93.1 million as compensation in 1999, GE’s
most successful year in 108 years. Mr Welch, whose income from the company rose 61 per
cent during the year from the previous year’s level, is due to retire next year.
