GTB mulling pvt placement
Calcutta: Global Trust Bank is considering making a private placement of 26 million of its equity shares of Rs. 10 each at a premium of Rs. 75 per share. The shares are likely to be offered on a preferential basis to a foreign bank or financial institution.

The bank is looking for a strategic partner which can bring in technology and skills in risk management, credit monitoring, and credit evaluation.

FM radio licences for eight more cities
New Delhi: The government has announced a list of eight companies that have bagged the licences to operate FM channels in Lucknow, Kanpur, Ludhiana, Jaipur, Jallandhar, and Jamnagar.

The Lucknow licences were won by Bennett & Coleman, Music Broadcasting, and Observer Network for Rs. 5.55 crore each. New Media Broadcasting, a part of the Zee group, has bagged Kanpur for Rs 3.3 crore and Ludhiana for Rs. 5 crore. The Jaipur channel has been grabbed by Suraj Broadcasting for Rs. 3.65 crore, Jallandhar by Bollywood Broadcasting for Rs. 3.25 crore, Jamnagar by Observer Network for Rs 1.6 crore.
