Udayan Bose global MD of Lazard
World-wide Partnership
Mumbai: Lazard India managing director Udayan Bose has been appointed global managing
director of Lazard World-wide Partnership, which has been created through the merger of
the three Lazard houses.
Mr Bose has also been appointed MD of Lazard Brothers and Co Ltd, London. He will continue
to be chief executive and chairman of Lazard India Ltd, a 50-50 equity venture between him
and Lazard.

Yau is new Hallmark Asia MD
Mumbai: Hallmark Entertainment Networks Asia Pacific has appointed a new managing
director and vice-president, Terence Yau. Mr Yau, who will head the company’s two
channels in the Asian region, Hallmark and Kermit, was earlier in charge of the
company’s North Asian operations.

the helm
Mumbai: The UK-based CGU Insurance has designated Nick Helms as chief executive
officer of the proposed joint venture it is setting up with the Wadia group for general
insurance operations in India.
Mr Helms replaces John Brice, who will take charge of CGU’s Japan operations.

Arun Kapur to
head Jhawar holding company
Calcutta: Arun Kapur will be chief executive officer of the Jhawars' second, as yet
unnamed holding company for knowledge-based services. Mr Kapur was managing director and
CEO of Command, the cellular services joint venture of Usha Martin and Malaysia Telekom.
Usha Martin is a Jhawar group company.
