Auburn Hills: Robert Eaton, who drove a stagnant Chrysler, the US automaker into revival mode and pioneered its merger into DaimlerChrysler, is retiring as co-chairman of the car company in March 2000. He says his decision was already known -- that he would go once the merger was complete.
