Unilever post for Dadiseth

Mumbai: Hindustan Lever chairman Keki B. Dadiseth is learnt to have been appointed on the board of Unilever in London. He is expected to be moving to the group’s London headquarters. The position offered to him is global director (personnel). A decision on the final timing of the appointment is yet to be taken.

Vandevelde is Marks & Spencer’s chairman
London: French retail expert Luc Vandevelde has been named the new executive chairman of ailing Marks and Spencer. Mr Vandevelde, 48, a Belgian national, joins Marks and Spencer from Promodes, which recently agreed to merge with Carrefour to create the world’s second largest retail business. He will join as full-time executive chairman and focus on the group’s strategic development.

Jil Sander founder steps down
Frankfurt
: Jil Sander, head and founder of German fashion house Jil Sander, announced that she is stepping down from her position in January. She will be succeeded by the chief of her firm’s new owner, Italy’s Prada, which has acquired 75 per cent of Jil Sander’s common shares and 15 per cent of its bourse-traded preference shares.
