Jeeja Nambiar with Oriflame
Mumbai: Oriflame India has appointed Jeeja Nambiar as business
development manager (western region). Ms Nambiar will be in charge of the company's
marketing activities in Maharashtra, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, and Goa. She began her
career with ITC-Welcomgroup in 1991 and has worked with Sodexho Pass India, Jockey and the
Times group.

Arvind Mehta is AIPMA president
Mumbai: Arvind M. Mehta has been re-elected president of the All India
Plastics Manufacturers' Association. Mr Mehta is the managing director of Welset Plast
Extrusions in Mumbai, a manufacturer of PVC compounds.

World Bank promotes 2
NRIs to key posts
Washington: Two non-resident Indians, Farida Khambatta, currently
director, treasury operations, International Finance Corporation, and Vinod Thomas,
director, World Bank Institute, have been promoted as vice-presidents in the World Bank
group in recognition of their contribution to the organisation.
The World Bank said Ms Khambatta will be vice-president,
portfolio management, in IFC, and Mr Thomas will be promoted to vice-president at the
institute.
Ms Khambatta joined the World Bank in 1975 and worked in
various posts. She became director of IFC in 1997. Mr Thomas has played a key role in
various capacities in the development process, including framing of the World
Development Report, the bank said.
