Spic arm gets new MD
Chennai: S.V. Rajaa Vaidyanathan, finance director, Spic Electric Power Corporation, is taking over as managing director of the company from K. Thiruppathi, who has opted for voluntary retirement.

Mr Thiruppathi’s resignation has been accepted by the board of the company and he is to be relieved shortly. He is likely to join Sterlite Copper as president.

Bala Balachandran on Crisil board
Mumbai: Bala Balachandran, professor of accounting and information systems and decision sciences at the J. L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management in the US, is joining the board of Credit Rating and Information Services.

Crisil is planning to consolidate its activiteis through a range of services and tools for analysts and investors on its website.

Jindal is vice-chairman of Zee group
Mumbai: Vijay Jindal, managing director of Zee Network, has been appoined   group vice-chairman. Now all the chief executives of the Zee Network and its subsidiary companies will report to Mr Jindal at the corporate level.

Zee group chairman Subhash Chandra has entrusted the responsibility of devising a formal reporting structure in the group and a management information system to Mr Jindal.
