Bharat Patel retires from P&G
Mumbai: Bharat Patel, chairman and managing director of Procter &
Gamble Hygiene and Health Care, is relinquishing office on 31 December 1999. Mr Patel
will, however, continue to be non-executive chairman of the company and director on
the boards of Procter & Gamble Bangladesh and Procter & Gamble Sri Lanka besides
representing the company on industry forums.
The vice-chairman of the company, Sumit Bhattacharya has retired on 30 November 1999. He
is continuing as non-executive vice-chairman of Procter & Gamble Home Products.
