IBMs senior man joins Dell
New York: James Vanderslice, senior
vice-president at International Business Machines, has left the company to join Dell
Computer Corporation as vice-chairman. Mr Vanderslice has been heading IBMs
technology group and responsible for a number of multi-billion dollar IBM component supply
deals. He will be one of the two vice-chairmen at Dell, which analysts say is on a high
growth trajectory, set to become the worlds No 1 PC maker in the years to come
