Sridharan is ED of Hexaware
Mumbai: P.K. Sridharan has become executive director of Hexaware
Infosystems. He will be responsible for the Indian operations of the company.
Mr Sridharan was senior vice-president of the company. A B.Tech
from IIT, Madras, and M.Tech from IIT, Kanpur, he has diversified experience in the
IT sector. He was with DSQ Software and Philips India earlier.

Saajid Khan VP of RKHS
Mumbai: Saajid Khan has been appointed vice-president of Radhakrishna
Hospitality Services, a food and services company. Mr Khan was general manager of
industrial and institutional catering business unit of RKHS.
Mr Khna is an alumnus of the Institute of Hotel
Management, Mumbai, and began his career with the Taj group of hotels.

Award for Thiagarajan
Chennai: K. Thiagarajan, founder, United Writers' Association, has been
awarded the Sovereign Knight Order of the Knight Templars, Germany, for his exemplary
standards of professional excellence. The citation accompanying the award describes
Dr Thiagarajan as a crusader of the birth control movement and an academic who has
dedicated himself to the cause of national solidarity.

Sotheby's prize for
Atul Dodiya
Mumbai: Atul Dodiya has been selected for Sotheby's Art Prize 99. The
prize carries a cash award of Rs 3 lakh. This is the second year that the Sotheby's prize
for contemporary Indian art is being awarded.
Mr Dodiya has been selected from a list of five artists,
who included, besides himself, Valsan Kolleri, Anita Dube, Surendran Nair and Anandajit
Ray.

Steiger to stay in Wall
Street Journal
New York: Paul Steiger, editor of The Wall Street Journal, has
turned down an offer to head CNN's business news division. He says he will remain with the
paper.
CNN has been courting Steiger to head its business news
division, CNNfn.
