Ravi Bansal joins Dalmia Industries
Mumbai: Ravi Bansal has been appointed director of Dalmia Industries. He will head marketing and sales.

Mr Bansal has been with Intas Pharmaceuticals, Sarabhai Chemicals and Glaxo prior to his assignment with the Dalmias.

Varun Arya, President of IIT alumni association
New Delhi: Varun Arya is the new president of the IIT Delhi Alumni Association. In his capacity as president of the association, Mr Arya will also be a representative on the senate, the highest decision-making forum of IIT Delhi and a member of the consultative committee of the Foundation for Innovation and Technology Transfer, the industry-institute interaction wing.

Mr Arya has about 16 years of industry experience in senior levels at Indian Rayon, Reliance and Du Pont.

Ispat-Germany has a new CEO
Bonn: Ispat International, the flagship of Lakshmi Niwas Mittal, has announced that Gerhard Renz, managing director of Ispat Hamburger Stahlwerke, based in northern Germany, will be responsible for the operations of Ispat Stahlwerke Ruhrort and Ispat Walzdraht Hochfeld in Duisburg.

Mr Renz has replaced Herbert Spreckelmeyer, who has left Ispat's German operations. L.N. Mittal has not been happy about the performance of his German companies and is in the process of restructuring them.
