Garrick D'Silva is Whirlpool of India CMD
New Delhi: Whirlpool of India has announced
that Garrick D'Silva will be its new chairman and managing director. The appointment comes after the resignation of J.R. Desai as
chairman of the company. Mr D'Silva is currently
president and managing director of the company. He had joined Whirlpool Corporation in
1994 as managing director of TVS Whirlpool. After the merger of Kelvinator India with
Whirlpool Washing Machines in 1995, he was appointed president and managing director.
