Depositories yet to make connectivity
Mumbai: The National Securities Depository
and Central Depository Services, the two depository services, are yet to evolve a solution
to their inter-connectivity problem. The two depositories have not reached any
understanding on inter-depository traders.The
deadlock will affect secondary market operations, as transfers from one depository to
another would become difficult. Central Depository
Services, sponsored by the Bombay Stock Exchange, has not yet commenced its operations due
to lack of connectivity.

ICICI plans second safety
bonds issue
Mumbai: ICICl will offer annualised
interest rates of 12.25 -12.3 per cent for its second safety bonds issue in 1999-2000. The
rate is 50 basis points lower than that offered for an issue of bonds in May 1999.
The Rs 300-crore issue is scheduled to open on 19 July.
