David Hockman joins Edel Music
London: David Hockman, head of music publishing for PolyGram until the company's takeover by Seagram of Canada, is joining Edel Music, one of the world's largest independent record companies.

Hockman, 49, will head the new publishing arm of the company. He will have an equity interest in the company.

One of the most experienced executives in global music publishing, Hockman spent the past decade rebuilding PolyGram's publishing interests from scratch. He created one of the world's largest music publishing businesses with annual sales of more than $250 million and and profits of $40 million.
