07 Feb 01.10 PM : Indices decline from early highs; Sensex still above 10050

After touching new intra-day lifetime highs in early trades, both Sensex and Nifty have given up part of their gains. The Nifty in fact slipped into the red for a brief period before recovering.

The Sensex is trading higher by 71 points at 10051 at 01.10 PM.

The Nifty is trading at 3008, higher by 8 points.

SAIL is still the biggest gainer among large caps with gains of over 3.5 per cent. The stock saw a high of Rs57.9 and is now trading at Rs56.85.

ITC also has given up part of its early gains and is trading with gains of over 2.2 per cent. HLL is trading with gains of a per cent.
