Market ends with moderate gains amid volatility

The markets ended ended in green with moderate gains after a fairly volatile session. It opened choppy went up but ended with marginal gains. Telecom, cement, metal, realty select bak stocks were providing the support at the lower levels. However, dragging the markets down were auto and IT stocks. Asia manged to closed in green after a shaky start. The broader markets outperformed the benchmark indices and ended higher.
SBI, Tata Steel, Reliance Communication, Suzlon, ACC, Ambuja Cement and GSK were among the gainers.
M&M, Wipro, Tata Motors, M&M, Malco were among the major losers.
Sensex was up 49.93 points or 0.33% at 14985.70, and the Nifty up 10.50 points or 0.24% at 4356.35.
About 1506 shares have advanced, 1391 shares declined, and 88 shares are unchanged.
