Chennai: Chennai – based IT infrastructure services company, Origin Infosys Pvt Ltd has decided to branch out to other parts of the country.

According to B Bhaskar, CEO, many of the company's existing clients have asked it to provide services in their other Indian locations, and the company has decided to follow its clients.

He said Origin Infosys will serve Citibank in Mumbai. Origin Infosys offers end to end infrastructure services to IT and ITES companies.

''Starting from the building, designing the interiors, selling and renting of equipments, managing the power requirements, we will take care,'' Bhaskar said.

However, he clarified that the company is positioning itself as an IT solutions company that sells, maintains IT infrastructure like computers, networks etc., and not as a real estate management company.

Meanwhile Origin Infosys has executed the Rs80 crore order from Elcot, a Tamil Nadu government undertaking, to install computers in 2000 government schools in the state.

Speaking about the project, he said the state government wanted to spread IT literacy at the grass root level, and decided to install 10 computers in each school.

Bhaskar said the company would close this fiscal with a turnover of Rs130 crore up from Rs34 crore earned during FY 2007.
